2025.03-05
Demolition was completed at the end of March, and construction began in April.

2025.01
The old Komatsu headquarters had four basement levels. With the demolition of the third basement level now underway, the project is entering its final stages.

2024.12
The demolition of the basement has begun.

2024.10
The demolition of the aboveground structure is now down to just the first and second floors.

2024.09
The 10-story building was quickly dismantled down to the fifth floor.

Sections of the demolished building were reduced to small pieces of concrete rubble and transported using a Komatsu hydraulic excavator.

The concrete rubble was lowered to the first floor and loaded onto a transport vehicle using the hydraulic excavator. Komatsu equipment played a vital role here as well.

The height of the protective sheeting was steadily lowered as the demolition progressed and the building's height was reduced.

2024.06
Removing the Komatsu logo that had long adorned the rooftop as the face of the company marked the start of the building's demolition.

2024.05
There were as many as four large boilers in the basement. They were carefully dismantled in preparation for the building's demolition.

Project start - 2024.03
The rebuilding work has finally begun. First, the rooftop garden will be relocated. The trees will be replanted at the new headquarters.
